Housing professionals looking to enhance or develop their homebuyer education programs to effectively serve their short and long term clients, should attend this essential course. This course is unique from other industry trainings as it provides interactive competency-based learning; assisting students to achieve the content objectives, they need to perform their job effectively. Through lectures, break out groups, & exercises, counselors will be provided with information on the fundamentals of developing and implementing home buyer education, in addition to the housing counseling structure, templates, and HUD requirements. Counselors will learn how to engage clients through adult education techniques, as well as how to properly structure their housing  counseling program in order to use education more effectively. This course is presented via a hybrid distance learning model in 4 hour time blocks over 5 consecutive days.
