|August 8 - August 12, 2022|
The UnidosUS Learning Alliance (ULA) is currently registering counselors for the eLearning HCC: Fair Housing Course. The training will begin on August 8th through August 8th, 2022.
This course is designed to assist current counselors in preparing for the National Certification exam. Counselors will learn regulations surrounding Fair Housing Laws, the Fair Housing Act, and HUD’s role in enforcing Fair Housing Laws. This course is crafted to be a supplemental learning opportunity for Housing Counselors and supplements the material provided by HUD. This eLearning course utilizes the same curriculum from the HUD Certification Class offered by Unidos but focuses on a more in-depth explanation of each subject. Using a variety of learning activities, reading assignments, exercises and tests you will learn and apply your knowledge of Fair Housing.
The Course Includes
One week of asynchronized instruction. This topic is divided into nine subject areas and for each unit you will have a recorded instructional webinar, a reading assignment and a variety of learning activities. Tests and exercises will allow you to apply your knowledge of Fair Housing. The student will work independently through each of the nine subject areas and upon completion will take a Final Exam. While we do recommend that this course be completed in a one-week time period, we do offer an additional 30 days from the last day of training to complete all assignments and take the Final Exam.
Our eLearning courses are designed to provide options to multiple types of learners in an asynchronous format. We provide training materials and exercises that can be done at your own pace. So, no needing to login at a certain time or completing assignments on a particular day, you can do this from work or home 24/7 within the scheduled dates of your course. The course manual can be downloaded and saved right to your desktop or you have 30 days from the course end date to log back in and review the materials.
The course is scheduled for March 7th through March 11th, 2022 to provide a facilitator for students that may require another level of engagement. The facilitator is there to provide:
