Intro to Triage: How to effectively handle & route New Housing Counseling Clients

The UnidosUS Learning Alliance (ULA) is currently registering counselors for the Intro to Triage: How to effectively handle New Housing Counseling Clients  Webinar.  The training will take place on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023, 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM EST.

This course is designed to provide intake specialists and housing counselors new to the industry an overview of the soft skills and technical skills necessary to effectively triage a client.  This is not meant to be an exhaustive learn-all-there-is-to-know about triage. That knowledge will come with time and experience. However, the course will cover the following topics:

• What is triage in housing counseling?
• Why is Emotional Intelligence important for Directors of First Impressions
• The Triage Process: How to customize one for you
• Building relationships for supportive referrals
• Client Management system input

Our courses are designed to provide options to multiple types of learners in one setting. We provide a virtual class facilitated by an instructor. Two-hour mandatory attendance is required for this training to receive a certificate of course completion. It is recommended that you download the course workbook as you will be working directly in it. Please complete the Emotional Intelligence in the workbook prior to the webinar. We will be discussing the results.
