The UnidosUS Learning Alliance (ULA) is currently registering counselors for the Homeless Counseling Webinar.  The training will take place on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM EST. The class will be hosted virtually over five days and with live instruction from multiple trainers.  This webinar class will be accessible from any computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection via Blackboard Learn web application. Blackboard mobile is also available via Android and iOS.

This course discusses short-term housing options for the homeless community and those at risk of becoming homeless. The webinar explains how to provide holistic housing counseling with supplemental services such as job counseling, food pantries, addiction counseling, mental health counseling, and children’s issues. Participants are taught how to build trust between the counselor and client and ensure success in homeless counseling by focusing on stabilizing families.

Our courses are designed to provide options to multiple types of learners in one setting. We provide a virtual class facilitated by an instructor. Two-hour mandatory attendance is required for this training to receive a certificate of course completion. The course manual can be downloaded and saved right to your desktop.
