Eligibility requirements for both types of agencies are listed below. Eligibility Requirements for an Independent HUD-Certified Agency - Agency must be certified by HUD independently.
- Attending counselor must be employed by the agency.
- Scholarships are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A limit of one scholarship per fiscal year is available to each agency to ensure that an equal opportunity is given to as many organizations as possible.
- If scholarships are still available after all candidates have been considered, additional scholarships may be awarded to agencies that have already met the one-scholarship award limit.
