We are looking for an excellent Trainer to enhance the competencies of housing counselors by facilitating training courses that will boost counselor performance in compliance with HUD and National Industry Standards. You will be responsible for remaining up to date on changes in your field of expertise, and delivering curriculum in an engaging fashion. You will provide complete training to share your expertise in ways that motivate others.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with ULA staff to determine availability for training sessions
Update educational materials such as PowerPoints, manuals etc.
Be conscious of culturally sensitive subject matter
Maintain professional decorum in the classroom at all times
Requirements:
Proven expertise as a trainer
Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
Computer literacy
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
Sound decision making and organizational skills
Must be a team player
Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint); e-learning software is an asset
Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
Organizational and time management abilities
Ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
Minimum of 5 years experience in Housing Counseling, Mortgage Lending and/or Community Development
Must have passed HUD Housing Counseling Certification exam
Spanish language proficiency a plus
