Calculations in Housing Counseling
Calculations in Housing Counseling is a one-week autonomous elearning course. This self-paced learning course requires a 6-10 hour overall time commitment. This course is designed for not only the new counselor but also for any counselor who feels as if their "math skills" foundation is in need of some "repointing of the mortar joints" or some other repair. The course starts with reviewing basic math skills that we as young students learn and then don't use much in our lives. We lose skills in the same way we lose muscle strength with lack of use. Or perhaps we missed some of the early building blocks, and when the class moved on, we became convinced we couldn't do math. The course firms up the foundation with reviewing income, down payment, and closing cost calculations and then moves on to more advanced topics: points, factoring, amortization, ratios and APR. By the end of this course, learners will have restored their math skills and their confidence to perform the calculations needed to serve their clients well.
When you register for this course, you receive:
- One week of online self-paced training materials and exercises
- Access to an experienced industry facilitator for guidance and feedback
- Resources broken down in an easy downloadable and/or printable format
- 24/7 access to online content
- Course accessibility for 30 days after your course end date
Non-refundable Registration Fee: $25.00
